Breakfast is a great time to pack in whole grains, fruits, and veggies into your diet. It doesn't have to be hard – and it definitely doesn't have to be bacon and eggs! 🤮
Here are three great plantful breakfasts you can make in under 10 minutes that will easily keep you full until lunch. ☺️
Smoothie – 5 minutes
You know the drill:
Assemble tasty ingredients: one favorite combination of ours is frozen fruit, greens, flax seeds, cinnamon, dollop of almond butter, water, and a scoop of protein powder.
Blend: check out our recommendation: Vitamix 5200 or other models.
Enjoy.
It's that simple! If you're new to making smoothies, grab a favorite recipe book or try a highly rated one from a website like It Doesn't Taste Like Chicken. After you've made a few, you'll figure out some favorite combinations and be able to do this on autopilot.
A nice plantful smoothie is something the whole household will enjoy with a slice of toast and morning coffee.

Oatmeal – 5 minutes
Lucky you! We wrote a whole post about our favorite breakfast.
Tofu scramble – 10 minutes
If you press the tofu the night before, this recipe takes 10 minutes max: Seriously The Best Tofu Scramble, Rainbow Plant Life. This works on busy mornings but can go great for slower Saturday mornings too. Pair it with fresh fruit and waffles for guests who might not be on the plantful train.
If you haven't cooked with tofu yet, it's not scary at all! It's just pressed soybeans, which taste good by themselves but are great at soaking up spices and flavors from what you cook it in. The recipe link above tells you all you need to know. You can pick up a block of tofu from any grocery store, seen here in our refrigerated health food aisle.

You caught us: breakfast is our favorite meal of the day, and the one we were most afraid of changing when we went vegan. Luckily, our breakfasts these days are cheaper, healthier, and easier than ever! We hope you'll find the same. Go forth and try something new!
Peace, love, and plants,
